I remember the first time I met you, Our Beautiful Maddy. I picked your Mom and you up from the airport, when you flew to Cali with her, at just 8weeks old. You were cradled against her in a baby bjorn, and instantly I saw your special bond, one that will last forever.
Your family was complete once you were born, all of the pieces of the puzzle came together. I always admired the incredible relationship you had with your sisters, and the deep, adoring connection you had with both your Mom and Dad.
So many wonderful memories of you Maddy, that I am so grateful to have. You were always the bright light that never dulled, the kiddo that shined in every way. Every single encounter with you was easy, fun, kind and so loving. I never saw you any other way...only as SUNSHINE.
Your bandwidth of meaningful knowledge and your passion to share it with others was always at the forefront. Everyone learned so much from you. You were profoundly wise, your wisdom, boundless. You were smart in a similar way to your Grandpa Eddy, like a renaissance man. Your keen ability to tap into deep places was unprecedented. Your life experiences made you rich, with brilliant foresight and a curious awareness.
You immersed yourself with concern and commitment to making this world a better place, unlike anyone your age, I have ever seen. Your connection to affect change, pulled you in the deepest ways. Advocacy came so naturally to you, it was just who you were. You were "that guy." The one who people aspire to...the one who parents hope their child turns out like... the one whose light, illuminated this world… the ONE.
We are all better humans for having known you, Maddy. Thank you for being an example of putting your best-self forward, always. For showing us what it looks like to stand-up for what you believe in. My funny, smart, handsome, extraordinary nephew - there will not be a day moving forward that I will not think of you, with both a smile and a tear. In your memory, I will commit to affect change, to advocate for those in need, and do my part in making this world a better place. I may even climb a rock!
Your spirit lives on through all of us, with a powerful message of MADD LOVE.
Rest in perfect peace Our Beautiful Maddy.
Always a Maddy Fan! Madd Love Maddy! I love you- Aunt Nikki
