A stone for Maddy

helenarohlfing posted on May 22, 2023

Today I reached the highest point of the Camino Frances, a ca 800km hike across northern Spain. At this highest point people leave stones, which they have carried, with their own or loved ones name on.

Although I never had the privilege of meeting Maddy myself, I was told he enjoyed a good hike. I therefore decided to leave a stone for Maddy.

Wow, what a loving tribute to Maddy and really, to our whole family. These pictures capture the tremendous effort that you put in to this hike, and to know that you were thinking about Maddy and found him in this sacred place, fills my heart with love. So much gratitude to you for sharing this with us. Much love, Jordana

This is incredible , Lenja. Thank you from the deepest depths of my heart. Maddy would have loved this hiked and loved this. And he would have been in serious admiration of your commitment to the trail. I'd love to hear more about this next time we talk. No pressure ;) Sending so much love. This is so meaningful. Love you xoxo
