I found Maddy at Beazell Forest in Oregon

I went on a hike with two friends into Beazell Forest near Corvallis, Oregon on a misty, damp morning with trail covered in leaves and trees blanketed in moss, a rocky stream alongside us and grey skies giving way to sun. That's Emily and me (in blue) with a magical tree Maddy would have admired!
