I met Maddy a few years ago on our trip to Israel. His energy and sense of humor brightened our adventures, and his passion and empathy for humanity has always inspired me ever since. I got to know Maddy in a unique way, as I had the special opportunity to search for a small gift for him in Jerusalem and present it to him at the end of our trip. Maddy's sweet reaction to my gift, his warm, genuine, and validating smile and laugh, is a memory that I will cherish forever.
