Maddy the Guignol
Maddy is the grandson of my first cousin on the Wagner side but our family connection is much closer than “once removed.“ My husband Gib and I enjoyed lively family dinners with Oliver and Jordana and the kids when they lived near us in Albany. When they moved to Boulder we missed them greatly. Although communication naturally lessened over the years our bond remained strong. We tried to keep up with milestones virtually and cherish some fond memories of a family reunion in Colorado’s Estes Park.
I remember Maddy as a little Guignol - a live wire ball of energy as bright and powerful as the sun. His absence leaves a huge hole in our family constellation but his spirit fills our hearts.
it’s a bittersweet feeling but I’m grateful to get to know Maddy better through the wonderful pictures and posts here. He was a truly loved and loving being whose spirit continues to shine through the universe.
